In August 2021, The Spanish Effect brought RCDE coaches to Westerhope United FC,
in Newcastle upon Tyne, to run the UK’s first ever RCDE Camp!
Approximately 60 children aging from 6-12 years old participated in the 5 day event, and
we were blown-away by the fantastic effort and enthusiasm that the kids put into the
training sessions and the group matches.
We invited a special guest to the closing ceremony, surprising the children with an
appearance from Newcastle United player Federico Fernández, who helped us give out
the certificates and prizes. It was an unforgettable and unique way to close our first camp
and an experience the children will never forget!
